I took a bus from Czech Republic to Paris. I got to the hotel to check in and realized the card wasn’t working!! I didn’t have enough money in cash. I went to an ATM and it was declined!
When you go to a different country you need to notify your bank – I FORGOT.
I decided to grab my bag and walk around the city in the mean time.
I didn’t have time to waste I was in freaking France! Oui Oui.
I made it to a church that was over looking the city.
THIS MOMENT IN TIME I WILL NEVER FORGET.
There were people from all over the world gathering on this staircase. Walking around you could hear all of the different languages.
People were drinking wine, eating bread, talking, and having an amazing time.
Out of nowhere comes a kid (probably 16-18 years old) with a guitar. He starts to paly Wonderwall – classic song.
EVERYONE STARTED SINGING IT.
Thinking about this memory gives me goose bumps.
It was so awesome to see all of these people, some unable to even speak English – all come together.
Everyone sang this song so loud I’m sure they could hear us in the city! It was an amazing moment.
I wish the world would always as peaceful as that moment.
They say life isn’t measured by the number of breaths we take – it is measured by the number of times our breath is taken away.
P.S. I didn’t get into my hotel and had to stay in a hostel – that had no windows – it cost 12 euros lol It was better than nothing! Traveling is great!
